Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STK17A RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated STK17A data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher STK17A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STK17A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and ESCA show a favorable association.

KIRP, SKCM, and HNSC are the cancer types where STK17A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
