Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STIM2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STIM2 data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher STIM2 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STIM2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.
GBM, HNSC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where STIM2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
