Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STAU1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STAU1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher STAU1 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STAU1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and LUAD show a favorable association.

COAD, CCRCC, and LSCC are the cancer types where STAU1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
