Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STARD6 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated STARD6 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher STARD6 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STARD6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and OV show a favorable association.
LIHC, BLCA, and ACC are the cancer types where STARD6 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
