Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STARD5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STARD5 data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher STARD5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STARD5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, ESCA, and CHOL are the cancer types where STARD5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
