Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STARD3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STARD3 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher STARD3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STARD3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and BLCA show a favorable association.
LIHC, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where STARD3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
