Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STARD3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STARD3 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher STARD3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STARD3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC show a favorable association.

GBM, PDAC, and LUAD are the cancer types where STARD3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
