Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ST3GAL4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ST3GAL4 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ST3GAL4 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ST3GAL4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and GBM show a favorable association.

HNSC, LSCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where ST3GAL4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
