Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SSX2B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SSX2B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where SSX2B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SSX2B is over-expressed in tumor.
LIHC and BRCA are the cancer types where SSX2B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
