Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SSPN Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SSPN data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SSPN Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SSPN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, ACC, and BLCA are the cancer types where SSPN Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
