Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SSH1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SSH1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher SSH1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SSH1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and SCLC show a favorable association.

LUSC, LIHC, and UCS are the cancer types where SSH1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
