Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SSC4D RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SSC4D data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher SSC4D RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SSC4D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and THCA show a favorable association.
KIRP, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where SSC4D RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
