Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SRPRA RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SRPRA’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where SRPRA RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SRPRA is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRC, and HNSC are the cancer types where SRPRA tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
