Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SRMS RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SRMS data layer compared with 10 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher SRMS RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SRMS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and HNSC show a favorable association.
STAD, HNSC, and ACC are the cancer types where SRMS RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
