Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPTLC1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPTLC1 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SPTLC1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPTLC1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, ACC, and UCEC are the cancer types where SPTLC1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
