Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPTBN4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPTBN4 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher SPTBN4 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPTBN4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and HNSC show a favorable association.

LSCC, GBM, and HNSC are the cancer types where SPTBN4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
