Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPTBN2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPTBN2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SPTBN2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPTBN2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where SPTBN2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
