Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPSB3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPSB3 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SPSB3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPSB3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, BLCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where SPSB3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
