Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPRR2E Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPRR2E data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SPRR2E Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPRR2E expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and LIHC are the cancer types where SPRR2E Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
