Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPRR2C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SPRR2C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where SPRR2C RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SPRR2C is over-expressed in tumor.
LUSC are the cancer types where SPRR2C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
