Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPRN RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SPRN data layer compared with 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher SPRN RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPRN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and PAAD show a favorable association.

BLCA, PAAD, and UVM are the cancer types where SPRN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
