Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPR RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SPR data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), where higher SPR RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPR expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and BRCA show a favorable association.
UCS, ESCA, and COAD are the cancer types where SPR RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
