Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPOPL Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPOPL data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher SPOPL Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPOPL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, COAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where SPOPL Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
