Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPINT5P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SPINT5P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where SPINT5P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SPINT5P is over-expressed in tumor.
ESCA are the cancer types where SPINT5P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
