Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPHK1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPHK1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher SPHK1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPHK1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRP, SKCM, and ESCA are the cancer types where SPHK1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
