Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPG21 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPG21 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher SPG21 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPG21 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC show a favorable association.

COAD, LSCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SPG21 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
