Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPDL1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPDL1 data layer compared with 31 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SPDL1 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPDL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and CCRCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SPDL1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
