Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPATS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SPATS1 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SPATS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPATS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and BRCA show a favorable association.

HNSC, KICH, and DLBC are the cancer types where SPATS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
