Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPATA6 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPATA6 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher SPATA6 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPATA6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD show a favorable association.
STAD, LIHC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SPATA6 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
