Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPATA6 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPATA6 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher SPATA6 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPATA6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LSCC and GBM are the cancer types where SPATA6 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
