Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPATA12 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SPATA12 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher SPATA12 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPATA12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and HNSC show a favorable association.

KIRP, HNSC, and LGG are the cancer types where SPATA12 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
