Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPARC mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPARC data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher SPARC mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPARC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SPARC mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
