Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPANXD Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPANXD data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SPANXD Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPANXD expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, SARC, and UCEC are the cancer types where SPANXD Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
