Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPA17 RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SPA17 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher SPA17 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPA17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCEC show a favorable association.

KICH, LIHC, and KIRC are the cancer types where SPA17 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
