Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SP9 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SP9 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher SP9 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SP9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SCLC show a favorable association.

KIRP, ACC, and KIRC are the cancer types where SP9 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
