Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SP140 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SP140 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 10 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher SP140 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SP140 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LUAD show a favorable association.

GBM, HNSC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SP140 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
