Across TCGA cell cohorts, SOX9 mutation is significantly associated with the mutation status of many other genes, with 3,566 significant associations in total. LARGE_INTESTINE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SOX9-associated genes across cancer lineages are SNAP91, KCNC2, and PDZRN3. Each is linked with SOX9 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SOX9-to-partner and partner-to-SOX9 results are reported.
