Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SOX4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SOX4 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher SOX4 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SOX4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC show a favorable association.
PDAC, LSCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SOX4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
