Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SOX3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SOX3 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher SOX3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SOX3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD show a favorable association.
LUAD, CHOL, and SKCM are the cancer types where SOX3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
