Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SOX18 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SOX18 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SOX18 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SOX18 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
UCEC are the cancer types where SOX18 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
