Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SOCS5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SOCS5 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher SOCS5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SOCS5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.

BRCA, OV, and SKCM are the cancer types where SOCS5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
