Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNX29 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SNX29’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where SNX29 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SNX29 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, LIHC, and KICH are the cancer types where SNX29 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
