Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNPH RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SNPH’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where SNPH RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SNPH is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, THCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where SNPH tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
