Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORD8 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher SNORD8 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORD8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and LUSC show a favorable association.

STAD, KIRP, and DLBC are the cancer types where SNORD8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
