Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD63B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SNORD63B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where SNORD63B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SNORD63B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KICH, KIRC, and BRCA are the cancer types where SNORD63B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
