Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD48 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORD48 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where higher SNORD48 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORD48 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and BRCA show a favorable association.
CHOL, UCS, and BRCA are the cancer types where SNORD48 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
