Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD116-19 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORD116-19 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher SNORD116-19 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORD116-19 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and GBM show a favorable association.

THCA, STAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where SNORD116-19 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
