Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD116-15 RNA is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORD116-15 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher SNORD116-15 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORD116-15 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and BRCA show a favorable association.

MESO, LUSC, and KICH are the cancer types where SNORD116-15 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
