Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD115-6 RNA is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORD115-6 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SNORD115-6 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORD115-6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and BLCA are the cancer types where SNORD115-6 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
