Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD115-48 RNA is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORD115-48 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher SNORD115-48 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORD115-48 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA show a favorable association.

BLCA, CHOL, and ESCA are the cancer types where SNORD115-48 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
